Farmcrowdy a digital agriculture platform with the mandate to empower local farmers and provide a sustainable way of engaging people in Agriculture.

POSITION : Content Developer (Agric Content)

Qualifications

o    Degree in Agriculture or in any other agricultural related discipline would be an advantage;

o    Any other degree in Social Sciences, Humanities or any other 1st degree that is relevant to the role with a detailed understanding of Agriculture and Agric Practices

Ideal candidates for this role should have:

o    Strong command over content creation

o    Familiarity with keyword placement and other SEO best practices

o    Some experience with online marketing and lead generation

o    An understanding of formatting articles on the web

o    Socially adept

o    Ability to analyze and explain emerging social media trends

o    Knowledge of social media and online analytics (experience with Google Analytics or comparable tools)

o    Broad understanding of traditional and new media

o    Strong listening skills

o    Proofreading skills

o    Strong written and verbal communication skills

o    Detail oriented

o    Ability to handle multiple projects

o    Ability to communicate with both technical and functional users

Responsibilities

o    Create Agric-Related content for Farmcrowdy’s media publications, website and mobile app content 

o    Curate data sets for Infographic creation

o    Work with team members on social media and media-buy

o    Develop content for periodic Magazine Publications

o    Edit content for weekly updates for Farm Projects

o    Implement SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and best practices in all write-ups and publications

o    Review and update content scheduling calendar for online media publication

o    Create communication content (press releases, company milestones, news, journals, company research papers, etc.) on behalf of Farmcrowdy

o    Perform research and fact checking on content for print and online pieces across all Farmcrowdy’s Communication media (Blog, Website, external publications, newsletters, social media posts, etc)
