COMPUTER Computer which is defined as an electronic machine which is capable of accepting data process the data and give the result in form of an output is characterized by the following; 1. A computer must be capable of accepting data 2. A good computer must have the facility to process data 3. A good computer must be capable of given the result of any input data that has been processed 4. A good computer must be free from error 5. A good computer must accept Os & 1s as the default language and so on... The external factors on the use of computer hereby mean the effect of some external factors on the use of computer. Some of these factors are NOISE, SOUND, DUST, VENTILATION, MOISTURE, and TEMPERATURE. NOISE Noise can be defined as a sound, especially one that is loud, unpleasant or disturbing. Also it can also be define as a continuous or repeated loud confused sound. Noise as it nature may be doesn’t really have any internal effect of computer neither does it have any external effect on computer also; the effect of noise on computer as to do with the user of the computer, because if a generator is placed close to a computer that wouldn’t hinder the computer from working nor booting properly but it might only have an effect on the user’s of the computer. Users of computer which can therefore be regarded as someone who make use of computer in all ramification. Thus, noise has no effect on the booting or properly functions of the computer but might have little effect on the person (user) making use of it in the following ways; • Distracting the users • Making the user get tired of accessing the info he/she may need • Giving the users headache because of the nature of the sound • Making the user to input the wrong data • Causing the user to be discourage • Making the user feel the use of ICT is not important • Making the user traditional because of the old format of information process The above aforementioned reasons are the effect of noise to the use of computer
